The Track3t Solution

Track3t's unconventional thinking  drove us to develop patented technology that finally makes it economical to locate indoor assets automatically, continuously, and precisely wherever they move. By combining mobile sensors, multiple wireless technologies, and inexpensive passive RFID tags with cloud analytics, we dramatically improve reliability and achieve useful location accuracy in x, y, and z (+/- 12” or 300mm). Fulfillment centers use our patented solution to put the right inventory on the right shelf, deliver it to the right pack station, and load it into the right truck in the right sequence. We keep discrete product manufacturing lines running by making sure the right sub-assemblies, parts, and kits arrive at the right lineside station at the right time. We profoundly improve patient care and nurse satisfaction and lower costs in hospitals by knowing where mobile assets like clean beds, infusion pumps, and portable ultrasound machines are, and where they went. We know where everything is, every second, and our SaaS solution delivers ten times the performance at one tenth the price.

Mobile Sensors CLOUD Analytics INEXPENSIVE TagS

Two breakthrough insights drive the Track3t solution. First, you only need to locate objects as they move.  Once stationary, you know where they are. Second, locating inventory or equipment comprises two tasks, identify the load, and locate the mover that is moving the load. The Track3t mobile sensor platform (“MSP”, yellow in above diagram) performs both functions. The MSP uses an UHF RFID reader to identify material, and ultra-wide band to locate itself using the ultra-wide band anchors (blue).  The inexpensive UHF RFID tags (red) establish the identity of each pallet or tray of material or each piece of equipment or tooling.

Track3t successfully solves the three universal problems of conventional location tracking systems: They are too expensive, too difficult and disruptive to install, and not accurate enough.

Reduce Costs

•       Track3t’s custom mobile sensors reduce the total number of sensors.

•       Eliminate expensive tracking tags for inventory.

•       Reduce cost, improve service levels, and enable deep learning with cloud analytics.

•       Use ultra-wide band to reduce total number of fixed sensors.

Simplify Installation

•       Use wireless and battery-powered hardware to eliminate CAT5 cabling and power conduit.

•       Use ultra-wide band to auto-calibrate far fewer fixed sensors.

Increase Accuracy

•       Combine different technologies: UHF RFID to identify material, and ultra-wide band to locate the movers that move material. Track3t’s solution is 25x more accurate than legacy systems and returns x, y, and z, instead of just x, and y. We use RFID as it was intended, to identify a small number of tags over short range, and we use UWB where it is strong, for precisely locating objects in a large space. Legacy systems fail because they try to push RFID to do things it can’t do reliably or accurately.
